Location Identified for New Junior High
Liberty Common School

Liberty Common School is making strides toward opening a new junior-high school, set to begin serving seventh and eighth graders in the fall of 2025. The new campus will be located on Sharp Point Drive in Fort Collins, adjacent to the school's existing Plato Campus.

The two buildings which will house the junior high are currently undergoing a master-planning process for conversion, which will include classrooms, a gymnasium, a lunchroom, and laboratories. The construction will occur in phases, with classrooms being the first priority. Students will share some facilities with the nearby elementary campus during the school's initial operation.

The new junior high aims to accommodate 350 students by 2029, helping to address the growing demand for enrollment at Liberty Common School. This expansion will create a stand-alone facility for seventh and eighth graders, separate from the high school, which currently shares space with the junior-high grades.

Liberty Common School’s new junior high will extend the impact of its Core Knowledge© curriculum to hundreds of additional students in the coming years.
